Ichi Zen @ Tokyo Street, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur

Initially, we had plans to have lunch in Suki-ya, Pavilion, BUT the long queue was just unbearable for us to wait. Hence, we decide to find another place in Tokyo Street and ended up in Ichi Zen as they have a variety of set lunch to choose from.

Ichi Zen

Ebiko & Chuka Kurage Sushi (RM 5.00)

Tamago Sushi (RM 1.50)
Simple sushi which you can order from the menu and the chefs will prepare it for your freshly.

Sashimi Set (RM 38.00)
A simple sashimi set that includes raw tuna, sashimi, salmon, octopus that comes with rice, miso soup, chawan mushi, and set dishes. It was alright in flavour and freshness for us.

Salmon Kabocha Korroke Set (RM 23.90)
A deep fried croquette to accompany the grilled salmon meal. It was crunchy and not so oily in the inside too.

Salmon Kabocha Korroke Set (RM 23.90)
This lemon dripped salmon was not my favourite as it was a wee bit dry in the inside.

Yaki Udon (RM 20.00)
The Yaki Udon was disappointing for us. I guess the flavour was overpowered by the saltiness that keeps accumulating as you chow down more on this dish.

Tonkatsu Set (RM 28.00)
Although this pork katsu was not comparable than the one I had in Kyoto, this pork katsu was overcooked and dry to the core! The meat was not juicy as it was tasteless and dry. Not to forget, the side dishes served in this set meal was of weird flavouring and taste. Definitely would not order this again.

Chawan Mushi (included in set lunch)

Our final verdict? Was not really impressed with their food quality as many other Japanese restaurants can do much better in taste and flavour. Definitely NOT in my must-try list.
