my Elephant Thai Restaurant @ Section 17, Petaling Jaya

After going into a hiatus of posting food posts since work is piling up more than ever, I finally get a short break to catch up on all the leftover posts that I have not yet posted. Now, ever since my friend from KK arrived, we had a great Thai lunch in one of Klang Valley's hidden gem @ my Elephant!

Rice + Tom Yum Soup (RM11.90)
As we arrived during lunch, we were handed out set lunch menu that ranges from RM 9.90 and includes a fresh pandan drink in every meal. After trying real authentic Tom Yum Soup in Bangkok, I decided to try their version of Tom Yum soup served with brown rice, sliced fruits, and Thai mango salad. The mango salad quite refreshing with a twist of spiciness and bold flavours.

The Tom Yum soup however was made not as spicy as the real ones, but the flavours of the assorted seafood and spices really gives a kick in every sip I took. Thumbs up for this dish!

my Elephant's Pad Thai (RM9.90)
Next, a simple representation of Thai laksa using Thai kuay tiao (taste like Lo Shu Fun) that was pan fried really well and topped off with spicy sour sweet sauce. My, they weren't kidding as it was spicy that empowers a strong flavour.

Yum Mamuang (RM 10)

Of course, we have to add a side salad dish to add more greens in our tummy :P. This green mango salad was served with assorted seafood that were quite fresh and bathe with their secret chili dressing. This do taste similiar to the side salad served with our main dishes though.

Lunch time!

Overall, we had a great time as compared to commercialized Thai restaurant, my Elephant has lived up to its standard of flavour and authenticity. However, there is no Wifi here provided though. Will visit sometime again soon as it just nearby my place :D.
