Whenever I'm in Pavilion, one of my favourite spots for tea would be at Crystal Jade Kitchen located just opposite the food court. This place serves authentic Cantonese cooking cuisine that bears a resemblance to most Chinese restaurants. The place was not crowded and with a relaxing atmosphere as our tea session was simple & calmed.
Noodles with Shredded Meat & Mushroom (RM 11.00)
You can find most combination of BBQ pork, chicken, & duck served with either noodles, rice, or congee here. This simple noodles with shredded char siew & mushrooms was topped off with a thick layer of their special sauce that makes the noodles tasted better when tossed together. It is also served with a serving of green vege & a bowl of soup (heavily MSGed)
Pan-Fried Carrot Cake (RM 7.00)
Yes, you can find a range of dim sums for your tea break here. I enjoyed most of their dim sums served here as it was above average and served freshly. You might find the dim sums pricier as it ranges from RM 6-10 depending on what you order. However, I felt the portion served was a bit larger than usual that makes up for the price. Lookin at above, a simple pan fried carrot cake that was cooked just perfect & not very oily.
Steamed BBQ Pork Bun (RM 7.00)
Steamed Egg Custard Bun (RM 7.00)
This is my all-time favourite dish ~ steamed egg custard bun. As I have tried many versions of this in different restaurants, this place's egg custard was in the right composition and makes your taste buds crave this for more!
Chinese Tea (RM 3 per cup)
Crystal Jade Kichten Pavilion
Overall, a relaxed mood feeling as not many patrons visited here during tea time. It may not be over the top but it certainly was a great place to laze down and rest those shopping stressed legs. Hopefully, I would be able to update more on their main courses here.
