Garden Lifestyle Store & Cafe @ 1 Utama, Petaling Jaya

One of the not-so-happy dining experience I ever been was in Garden Lifestyle Store & Cafe in 1 Utama. Bearing resemblance to FullHouse concept of a cafe and a mini boutique, Garden's food range was disappointing to me as food quality was not there. With their dented menu with lots of "not available" sticker & returning waiters to our table telling that few dishes are out of stock, i might reconsider of visiting this place  ever again.

Creamy Vanilla Pumpkin Soup (RM 9.90)

After knowing that all salads were not available, we settled for a pumpkin soup. Suprisingly, this soup tasted great as the rich creamy balance of pumpkin essence was delicious. Garlic bread slices tasted bland though.

Seared Sirloin Steak (RM 37.90)

We asked for a medium sirloin, and was served with a well done steak. This lean fat beef tasted ordinary with a serving of mashed potatoes, vegetables & Au-Jus.

Spaghetti Olio Aglio (RM 18.90)

This Olio Aglio style spaghetti may proved very spicy to some. It looks different than the one seen in the menu, this combo of ocean clam meat, prawns, mushrooms, & chili flakes was very spicy for me. Tastewise, nothing really special about it.

Angel's Wings (RM 15.90)

I guess the Angels must have left their old wings behind as this deep fried chicken wings tasted pre-frozen to me. Marinated with preserved Chinese red bean curd, it had a crunchy saltiness taste to it which I kinda like it except for its freshness.

Watermelon Juice, Garden's Punch (RM 10.90, RM 11.90)

A simple watermelon juice & a classic mocktail embedding the flavours of orange, mango, pineapple, and a dash of Curacao was a refreshing sweet & sour taste for me.

Overall, I was not happy with the food selection and taste. I do wish they would improvise their menu and relived its fresheness. However, the view here is splendid with its garden concept decoration.
