Located in the busy, parking savaging Damansara Utama, The Salad Bar was a small shop with a cute design that serve healthy meals (not vegetarian). It seems recently, I've been visiting to healthy restaurants due to the recent weather changes. Food here are actually quite cheap compared to other health food shops which are quite pricey.
High Energy Superman Salad (Full)
Since the shop's name speaks for itself, we decided to order their high energy superman salad from their wide array of salad choices. Their high energy superman represents carbs & proteins in which lots of green vegetables, chicken ham, sliced chickens, eggs, & toast were used. It was a healthy salad dish compromising lots of fibers and vitamins.
All salads comes in two sizes: Full (RM11.90) or Half (RM6.90)
Soup of the Day (RM3.90)
Next, we had their soup of the day which was quite a huge portion & I guess it was mushroom soup where it is cooked with natural ingredients. However, it tasted weird, as it lacks a certain flavour which makes the soup taste bitter and tasteless & I didnt finish drinking it. Maybe it was too natural for me :(
Dory Carbonara (RM 7.90)
Their spaghetti as served in a mild flavour embracing low fat & healthy cooking in their dish. It is a good twist combining dory fish replacing the typical sliced chicken or ham in carbonara dishes. Their dory fish tasted fresh & great which goes well with their pasta.
Body Cleanser & Purple Glitter Smoothie
Natural drinks are also must to complete our healthy meals like the orange body cleanser; a combination of carrot, apple & ginger which cleanse & detoxifies our system. The amount of ginger was so strong in this drink until it burns up the throat (ouch!) & painful to continue on. Their purple glitter smoothie blends in the essence of dragonfruit, lemon & their very own homemade yogurt which improves digestion & lowers blood pressure. The purple glitter was good to drink as it was not empowering but a well mix balance of fruits.
