Lucy's Kitchen @ 88 Marketplace, Kota Kinabalu

88 Marketplace seems to be an uprising area in Kepayan. I stumbled into Lucy's Kitchen in this area, and it seems to be quite packed with people having their dinner. This place offers a blend of Malaysian & Western cuisines at a very cozy atmosphere minus the mosquitoes infestation around !

Custard Balls

Food prices here ranges from RM 10 to RM 40 per pax depending on your choices. I do find their menu quite appealing though.

Soya Cincau
The soya cincau was great to drink as the mixture of cendol, gula melaka, soya, cincau was a blast.

Hot Lemon Tea
Horlicks Dinosaur
I loved how the Horlicks drink was similiar to the Milo Dinosaur concept.

Grilled Chicken Chop
The grilled chicken was grilled perfectly as it taste good with its drenching of mushroom sauce, accompanied with a side coleslaw dish and mashed potatoes.

Fish & Chips
I was dissapointed with their fish & chips. The fries were overcooked, and the fried fish fillet looks like soggy pisang poreng which was not appetizing to look or bite. Being a seafood state, I felt they can do better than this.

Durian Pancake
The durian pancake was spectacular compared the ones I tried in KL. Their durian filling was generous as it was rich in durian flavour without over adding their cream. Loved every aspect of it.

Custard Balls
The custarb balss tasted exactly the same as my previous post on One Dessert, SS2. It was filled with rich creamy custard enveloped in a deep fried sesame ball.

Overall, the shop was ok to me in terms of taste. I do not like that when nigh falls, mosquitoes seems to be swarming around inside or outside their shops.
