My family and I stumbled upon this great place, U Village HK Restaurant. Located just in between Sungei Wang & Low Yat, U Village serves Hong Kong style gourmet cuisines which is similiar to other Hong Kong cuisines restaurants, but I find that their dishes served are far more delicious and cheaper comparatively.
Yau Ma Teh Chicken Rice
The place opens daily from breakfast till dinner and it is a great place to have a warm meal and long chit chats. Do come earlier as this place is heavily packed with customers especially around lunch time. Drinks are available in many varieties with the cheapest being the Chinese Tea (RM 0.90).
Kam Sha Pork Ribs Rice (RM 12.90)
The Kam Sha Pork Ribs were absolutely delicious and its juicy meat were cooked nicely and were served with french beans. Recommended as it tasted much better than the typical pork ribs rice.
Fried Beef Noodles (RM 9.90)
Char Siew Chicken Rice (Rm 12.90)
Honestly, it is not even worth to call it a visit here if you didnt try their char siew. Among all the higher end chinese cuisines restaurant I ever tried, their char siew is really good and it was roasted perfectly without overburning. However, the chicken tasted ordinary to me.
Char Siew Wantan Mee
The char siew wantan mee tasted great too. The soup base was really sweet blending in the taste of wantan dumplings and char ciew aroma. Tasty and rich in flavour.
Giant Pork Chop & Yam Cake Ring (RM 16.90)
I loved this dish very much. Served with rice and french beans, the giant pork chop was fried to perfection with its crispiness permeating the spices aroma, and to top that off, a mini yam cake ring garnished with cashew nuts, mushromms, and etc. The portion is very big though unless you are super hungry.
