Sakae Sushi - 1 Utama, Petaling Jaya

Japanese gourmet had really became a part of Malaysian's lives. With the tremendous increase of Japanese food chains & restaurants, we are often blurred with the many choice of Japanese cuisine whether is teppanyaki, sushi stalls, buffets, or fine dining. One of the choices I often ventured to, will be Sakae Sushi.

Today, Sakae Sushi has grown into a global chain of more than 50 outlets throughout Asia and beyond, serving over 200 varieties of delectables of sushi, sashimi and many others. Its economical price, ever-changing menu, endearing staff and ambiance ensure that this fairytale dining experience will never be short of fans’ accolades.

Order Through iPad !
The special thing about Sakae Sushi which is, ordering is made easy in which each table has a iPad attached for your convenience to select your orders from the digital menu and send directly to the kitchen without having to consult their staffs.

Fried Salmon
Their sushi belts have a huge choice of sushi platters, I personally would go for their idako, chuka chinmi, and fried salmon shown above. Its better to consume it when it was warm as cold fried dishes are sappy and distasteful.

Curry Chicken Bento
Japanese curry are different than the ones in Malaysia as it taste sweet and not spicy at all which is suitable also for children or "spicyphobia" people. It was great as the deep fried chicken was flavoured with its sweet thick curry gravy.

I personally loved this fried tempura vegetable dish as all people of all ages will loved it even nosy children who hates vegetables ! Its crispy with is accompanied with its own special sauce.

Fried Ebi & Tempura
Fried prawns, fish, and potatoes on a stick makes it easier to eat. It was something unique and the taste was fresh and crispy. However, it was really small as I was still hungry after finish eating this.

Chawan Mushi
The Chawan mushi accompanied with this set was superb ! I loved how they steam the egg with mushrooms and meat which permeates its flavour around the cup and top off with some shark fin (looks real to us when we observe it).
