Dontaku Japanese Restaurant ~ 1 Utama, PJ

After a tiring day hunting in the storewide sale in Padini, we decided to tryout some Japanese gourmet. Therefore, instead of trying the typical sushis place (king, sakae, zanmai, etc), we stop by the newly renovated Dontaku Ramen Japanese Restaurant located in LG floor at 1 Utama. FYI,this place is not halal for my Muslims friends.

Menus...

Honestly, there were so much choices offered in their menu, meals for 1 pax, 2pax. 4 pax , 10 pax which includes varities of japanese cuisine. However, the price are not really cheap compared to other Japanese chains (ranges from RM 20 - RM 100), so dont expect to eat budgetly. Also,  the environment in the restaurant looks edgy and modern and a great place for a chit chat gathering.

Ochas..

SO, i ordered the seafood teppanyaki and a gyu don set, well the food was overall not bad and edible i would say...maybe not a great choice, i would still prefer to eat at other chains (no offense). The seafood teppanyaki consists of prawns, squid rings, salmon and oysters served with miso soup, salad, and chawan mushi. I do not like the chawan mushi though, a bit plain and dull taste.

The beef gyu don was not appetizing to me, as it looks like its been whipped up at home amateurly, but as i said earlier, it is still edible and overall taste averagely good.
